Experts estimate that 1 in 10 children are sexually abused before their 18th birthday (Downing et al., 2020; Department of Health and Human Services, 2020). At its core, the prevention of child sexual abuse is about safeguarding innocence, the well-being, and the future of our youngest and most vulnerable members of society.
